Actinic Keratoses

Actinic keratoses are small, pink-red, tender, scaly, flaking spots on the surface of the skin. Individual ones are usually found on areas of prior sunburns on the face, scalp, chest, back, or shoulders. Multiple actinic keratoses are usually a result of extensive sun damage. They need to be evaluated in the office and can be treated with in-office treatments or topical prescription creams to be applied at home.
